It looks like UK based promotional outfit Queensberry Promotions have nabbed two promising talents to add to their roster.
Former welterweight contender Brandun Lee and former super middleweight star Nathan Lugo have both signed promotional terms with Frank Warren's Queensberry, it was announced today.
Lee is a 25-year-old from La Quinta, who entered his first fight at the age of eight and enjoyed an amazing career in the amateurs, where he compiled a record of 181-9. When he turned pro in 2017 at the age of 17, while still a High School student, Lee marked the occasion with a first-round stoppage in Philadelphia over Christopher Johnson.
His stoppage now stands at 23 from his 28 wins at the professional level, where he was coached by his father Bobby.
“I am very happy to sign with Queensberry Promotions,” said Lee. “On July 27 I will be fighting overseas professionally and I am very grateful. I'm looking to start a great new campaign with the Warrens and Queensberry as a whole this summer. I know they will give me good opportunities in the future. My team is complete and ready for battle.”

Warren added: “Brandun is a special talent in the super lightweight division, who is about to be given a platform to prove himself and perform in the big fights and moments that deserve his talent.
Lugo, who entered the professional ranks with a first-round stoppage in April, is a 19-year-old super middleweight who earned more than 40 stoppages in amassing a 223-19 record as a rookie. During this time he became the National Amateur champion an amazing 23 times, as well as winning international gold medals.
In 2022, by winning the Elite National title, Lugo became the youngest wrestler ever to qualify for the Olympic trials.
“I feel very honored to be coming directly from the team and immediately joining a company as strong as Queensberry,” Nathan responded to his hire from Frank Warren's team. “It has a rich and amazing history in the sport and it has fueled the careers of today's best boxers. I know with their guidance and leadership I will make history.”

This signature, although from the USA, follows the usual and successful pattern of Queensberry. Taking on a young top player, almost from scratch, and hopefully guiding him in the right direction to win an important title.
