The putter that propelled Scottie Scheffler's incredible season can now be yours after TaylorMade introduced a retail version of his custom Spider Tour X L-neck.

Retailers will find the same Spider Tour X L-neck used by the world number one to dominate the PGA Tour.

Scheffler debuted his new putter at this year's Arnold Palmer Invitational, starting with six wins in 10 outings.

“I was with him that whole week and he didn't make a single adjustment [to the putter],” TaylorMade Tour representative Adrian Rietveld told GOLF.com.

“He was ready to go when he set foot on the grounds.”

After going almost a year without a title, Scheffler's winless skid was broken in his first week with the new putter.

Since then, he has been unbeatable, winning four Signature Events at the Workday Memorial Tournament, the Arnold Palmer Invitational, the RBC Heritage, THE PLAYERS Championship, and The Masters.

The switch was a big change for Scheffler, who used blade putters throughout his career before taking up the X-mallet.

It paid off big for Scheffler.

He first tested a prototype Spider putter, the Spider Tour X SS Proto, during the 2023 FedExCup Playoffs, but the club didn't last long in his bag before he returned.

In addition to the L-neck common to the blade putters Scheffler was used to, his prototype had other changes from the standard Spider putter.

The face is milled and metal with black screws visible on the heel and toe, and the center of gravity is further forward than other spiders.

“I always liked the look of that Spider putter, but I didn't like the feel,” Scheffler said.

“That's something we talked about, kind of feeling.

“I always struggle with putters that have a lot of weight in the back, and this one is a little different than a lot of the Spiders they've made, the weight is more in the front, it has the feel of a blade putter that I like but it also has a lot of that look up top where it's easier for me to set it up.”

Scheffler will test various Spider heads for a few months, and finally asked for the Spider Tour X with his favorite “L-neck” but with the “bells and whistles” of the Spider, as confirmed by TaylorMade, including a full sight line. on top of True Routing and Pure Roll technology.
