Everton have reached an agreement with the “big” star who recently matched the DCL with goals

After announcing the arrival of Iliman Ndiaye, Everton have now reportedly reached an agreement to sign free agent Dominic Calvert-Lewin's goalscoring partner last season.

The Toffees have finally continued their summer business in recent weeks by signing Jack Harrison and signing both Tim Iroegbunam and Ndiaye, as Sean Dyche looks to put together a squad that can move away from Premier League relegation trouble. The Everton manager will be hoping to enjoy the season without the disruption of profits and ongoing penalties to allow his team's results to be reflected in the standings.

Speaking for the first time since signing for the club, Ndiaye told Everton's website: “I am very happy to be an Everton player. The main reasons I wanted to join was how great the club is, its history and the role I can play in helping the club move forward. I'm so excited and can't wait to continue.

“Kevin [Thelwell] and the manager both spoke to me and made me feel wanted. My Senegalese colleague Idrissa also participated and spoke highly of the Club and many positive things.”

The former Sheffield United player looks set to find an instant partner. According to Africafoot via Sport Witness, Everton have agreed a deal to sign Sekou Koita this summer. The 24-year-old recently left Red Bull Salzburg as a free agent after the end of his contract and now looks set to finalize negotiations for a move to Goodison Park.

Reportedly set for Everton's fifth summer signing, Koita should provide Dyche with another attack.

“Prolific” Koita can compete with Calvert-Lewin

While Calvert-Lewin's Everton future was called into question at the start of the summer window, those rumors have quieted down, suggesting he will remain for now. However, with that being said, his place could be under threat with the arrival of Koita, who former Football Talent Scout, Jacek Kulig, previously described as “growing”.

Koita, now 24, enjoyed another fine campaign at Salzburg last season, scoring eight goals in 24 games to match Calvert-Lewin's figures and is likely to give Dyche plenty to think about ahead of August.

Suddenly, in a surprise attack last week, Everton could start the season with Calvert-Lewin, Ndiaye and Koita to call upon which is a good sign that they are ready to end their relegation threat once and for all. The Toffees, and the newcomers, should make for an interesting watch at the start of the upcoming campaign.
