Emma Raducanu Pulls Out of Wimbledon Mixed, Leaves Andy Murray Hanging

Andy Murray I won't get a chance to play another match at Wimbledon.

Emma Raducanu withdrew from the doubles combination, citing right hand pain, and the Murray-Raducanu pairing was replaced by Rajeev Ram and Katie Volynets for the match.

Murray and Raducanu were scheduled to play on Saturday night at SW19.

It's tough news for the fans and, of course, for Murray, who was looking for another chance to pick up a few more wins before bidding a final farewell to Wimbledon. The 37-year-old was given the right sentence after he and his brother Jamie lost to John Peers and Rinky Hijikata on Center Court on Thursday.

The news, it seems, did not go down well with Murray's mother, Judy, who tweeted this response to the news. When tennis commentator Markus Buckland called the news “shocking,” the mother of the two-time Wimbledon champion couldn't help but admit:

Raducanu in the second week of Wimbledon for the first time since 2021, was seen heading to the practice courts to get a hit. She will face Lulu Sun of New Zealand for a place in the quarterfinals on Sunday at SW19.
