The weight of expectation falls on the broad shoulders of Johnny Fisher

JOHNNY Fisher weighed 25 kilos more than his opponent Alen Babic yesterday afternoon. While, on paper, the pair appear to be two evenly matched players, in reality, it feels like the do-it-all Babic has found his boxing ceiling. Fisher, undefeated, is still stretching to get his upper hand.

“I'm ready for the challenge. I'm excited to get in there,” Fisher gushed. “We are talking about deep water and father not entering the ring and fans not entering the ring, that is very true. It'll just be you and me, and I'm big, strong, powerful and fast. It will be seen if my fist comes to you, it will not be a good thing.”

Babic used to let the punches hit opponents before he faced Lukasz Rozanski last year. Babic was over and made one. Now he gets a chance to be redeemed in the Copper Box.

“This is about the awakening of 'The Savage'. You made a mistake Eddie Hearn when you entered my DMs asking about the fight with Johnny Fisher. I'm shocked that you're going to include a boy in this but let's go, let's get over it,” said 'The Savage'.

“I said yes because you look down on 'The Savage'. Everyone has looked down on 'The Savage' all my life. Never like this. I was fighting big men when Johnny Fisher was ten years old. I was taking them out of the cold.”
