Arsenal have made the first bid to sign the England ace
Arsenal are reportedly looking for Ajax U18 goalkeeper Tommy Setford.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Gunners have submitted an initial proposal and negotiations between the clubs are ongoing. Setford, considered a great talent by Ajax, is determined to leave.
Setford's deal with Ajax ends next year. As this player expressed his desire to join Arsenal, Ajax will want to get him now instead of risking losing him if he is transferred on a free transfer next year.

This potential transfer is among the latest changes in Arsenal's goalkeeping department. The Gunners have already signed David Raya from Brentford on a permanent deal after his successful loan spell last season.
The Spaniard has taken over from Aaron Ramsdale and reports suggest that Ramsdale could leave this summer in search of regular playing time.
It remains to be seen whether Setford is intended as a backup to Raya or as a long-term investment for the future. His development and integration with the young goalkeeper at the club will be crucial in determining his role at the club.
Arsenal narrowly missed out on the Premier League title last season, with Manchester City beating them last season.
Mikel Arteta intends to continue to strengthen his team to challenge City again and defend the title this time.
