Fulham confirm Palhinha's transfer to Bayern Munich
Joao Palhinha has joined Bayern Munich for an estimated £43.3million, according to Sky Sports.
The midfielder had four years left on his contract at Craven Cottage but made it clear that he would like to join the Bundesliga giants.
Palhinha, 29, looked set to leave West London in January, after his move was blocked at the last minute.
Bayern were rejected earlier this summer, but new coach Vincent Kompany has found his man, who will join Premier League star Michael Olise in Germany.
Chief strategy officer Tony Khan said: “Joao Palhinha has been a fantastic player for Fulham since he joined us in July 2022.
“His fearsome presence in midfield, aggression and incredible skill have made him a fan favorite and a leader on the Fulham pitch.
One of the best things we saw at our Cottage.
Thank you and good luck, João. 🫶

“All of us at the Club are grateful for Joao's hard work, the time we shared with him, and the good memories of the past few years working together.
“We have reached an agreement today which could lead to the highest transfer talks in the Club's history, these services come at a crucial time for our summer team planning for next season and our long term future.
“We wish Joao the best in his new journey. Come on Fulham! “
Palhinha has signed a four-year contract with Bayern and will play an important role in helping the team try to regain the title.
Bayern did not win for the first time since 2012 last season, losing the title to Bayer Leverkusen.
But the Portuguese is hopeful that he can guide one of the biggest teams in the world back to the top.
