Golf Business News – Accountancy News Reaches Paper Savings Milestone with Datamolino
Accountancy Matters, a golf accounting company, has reached a milestone with its technology partner, Datamolino, in processing more than 10,000 documents per month.
The data entry and processing company supports Accountancy Matters golf clubs by providing a service to upload invoices and receipts, then automatically complete and code financial documents into the Xero golf club accounts package.
Paul Mould, Director of Accountancy Matters, comments “Datamolino can extract real data from invoices and scanners to eliminate the need for manual entry. As a result, we think we have reduced the group's supplier invoice handling time by around 80%.”
“Digital documents make data retrieval much faster. Our clubs can now use the software to identify historical prices, for example, of any products they have purchased. That is especially helpful in today's tough economic climate.”
With seven million tonnes of paper waste still being sent to landfill every year, technology is helping golf clubs with their environmental focus – saving valuable waste and reducing the clubs' impact on the environment.
The growth in document processing has been remarkable, from just over 60 documents 5 years ago to the average monthly processing of over 10,000 documents today.
Accountancy Matters is at the forefront of accounting technology through its relationships with Datamolino, Xero and golf club software specialist, Intelligent Golf. Golf clubs benefit from significant cost savings on accountant and bookkeeper salaries and real-time accounts that allow them to make evidence-based business decisions.
