Golf Business News – The Seve Ballesteros Foundation presents the SEVE clothing collection
The Seve Ballesteros Foundation has launched a collection of golf apparel to coincide with the 40th anniversary of Seve's 1984 Open Championship victory.
Honoring Seve Ballesteros – Spain's professional golfer, world No.1, and one of the sport's greatest players from the mid-1970s to the mid-1990s – the SEVE brand upholds his legacy by encouraging golfers to be brave and and love both outside the classroom, where your dress often defines you.
Launching online on July 22, the first collection aims to encourage golfers to step out of their comfort zones and embody Seve's ethos when facing challenges on the golf course or simply using the iconic Spanish dress code.
SEVE's first collection, made from cotton, cashmere and 4-way stretch technical fabrics, is filled with golf essentials, including pants, shorts, polos, knit sweaters, caps, and visors, all available in five colorways.
The collection is available to buy from July 22 via sevecollection.com and from leading golf retailers across the UK and Europe, including Golfexperten, Dormy, GolfUS and selected clubs across Europe, including Royal Dublin, Royal Drottningholm, Royal Lytham and St Annes, and many more.
Carmen, Javier and Miguel Ballesteros, Seve's children, commented: “Our father was not only the greatest golfer of all time, but he was famous for his unmatched fashion and unique style. SEVE's collection of products and the first collection embodies everything that he was – courage, courage, courage, and not being afraid to challenge the status quo. We are delighted for golfers across Europe to be able to emulate his style and collection.”
As well as being one of the most prominent figures in the sport, Seve was known for his killer style and his tonal dress is a major inspiration for the first 24/25 collection.
Keeping in mind the question 'How would Seve wear today?', the SEVE team created a look that honors Seve's legacy while remaining relevant to today's golfers. Everything in the collection is designed to effortlessly mix and match to allow the wearer to embrace their individuality with a strong tonal look that complements or experiment with different combinations.
The debut will also include collaborations such as a limited edition Slazenger cashmere jersey inspired by SEVE's 1984 Open Championship outfit, Sunderland rainwear and a headwear partnership with Imperial.
