Thursday's opening round at the Genesis Scottish Open quickly turned into a birdie game, with a number of players going down on Day 1.

But no one went further than two-time PGA champion Justin Thomas. Thomas, who already has five top-10 finishes on the year, shot an eight-under 62 to take part in the first round. Sungjae Im is in second place at 7 under, with a large group of players at six and five under, including Rory McIlroy, setting up an exciting second round for fans.
