The Leeds United defender is set to return ahead of pre-season
Maximilian Wöber is set to return to Leeds United for pre-season training with his future at Elland Road still up in the air.
After a disappointing season in which he tried hard to miss out on promotion to the play-off final, Daniel Farke will be eager to get his team back together to prepare for next season's campaign.
Like many top clubs, Leeds are still short of a number of players who have been called up on international duty to play in the European Championship or Copa America.
One of these players is Wöber who was playing for Austria in this tournament until they were eliminated by Turkey in the round of 16.
The defender spent last season on loan at Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach and has been heavily linked with a move away from Leeds this summer.
Regardless, he is set to return to pre-season training with Farke's side in the next few days according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.
His future at the club is still very uncertain but there is no doubt that it will be clear if Leeds get into the head first before the season.
Leeds will find this out in Germany where unfortunately all their games will be played behind closed doors with their only friendlies against Harrowgate Town and Valencia.
