Man United are ready to sell the midfielder after talks with manager Erik ten Hag
Manchester United are keen to sell one of their most experienced midfielders after holding secret talks with manager Erik ten Hag.
The Red Devils will restructure the team and the club will identify their goals and also look at the opportunity to release players who are no longer needed at Old Trafford.
The Manchester Evening News reports that Man United have indicated that, should a good offer come for Eriksen's services, they are prepared to let him leave during the current transfer window.
Eriksen played 44 games in his first season at Old Trafford, but only played 28 games the following season as Kobbie Mainoo stepped up.
The Danish international was widely used as a substitute last season with Mainoo, Casemiro and Scott McTominay all ahead of him in succession.
The midfielder was upset about his playing time and wanted to be more prominent but the manager has other plans.
The Dutch manager is expected to make major changes to the squad this summer with the likes of Jadon Sancho, Antony and Casemiro all facing uncertain futures at the club.
The player is currently in the last 12 months of his contract at Old Trafford, he admitted last season that he was unhappy with his role at Old Trafford.
Eriksen has played 72 games for the Red Devils since joining Man United in 2022, collecting 13 assists and three goals.
Man United are expected to be busy this summer
He may face the same fate as Donny van de Beek who has been sold by the club to make room for new players.
Bologna forward Joshua Zirkzee is set to arrive at the club soon along with a defender, however, it remains to be seen who that defender will be.
As for the addition of the pitch, the Premier League giants have been linked with a move for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte.
