Spain vs England: Preview, predictions and schedule
England will face Spain in the competition Euro 2024 in the final this Sunday and the men's team has a chance to win the tournament for the first time in their history.
The Three Lions have already made history by reaching back-to-back finals and will be looking to avenge their defeat to Italy at Euro 2020. Gareth Southgate's side can bring the ball home from the Olympiastadion this weekend.
They have been struggling for large parts of the tournament but have maintained their good performances at key moments. England fared better against the Netherlands in the semi-finals, winning 2-1 thanks to Ollie Watkins' 90th-minute strike. They were lucky to get the penalty that led to their equaliser, but their spirit in Dortmund was commendable.
However, they face a very impressive Euro 2024 team in the exhibition event. Spain have been flawless in this summer's competition, winning all their games, scoring 13 goals and conceding just three points. Having eliminated France and Germany in the knockout stages, they will be confident heading to Berlin this weekend.
Luis de la Fuente's side can claim Spain's fourth European Championship title and recent history is in their favor in this game. Since the start of the 21st century, La Roja have won five of their nine meetings, although the teams have not met at a major tournament since Euro 1996 – England won on penalties in the quarter-finals.
Here it is 90 min guide to the Euro 2024 final between Spain and England.

Spain will welcome back two key defenders for the final against England as Robin Le Normand and Dani Carvajal return from one-match suspensions. They should go in for Nacho Fernandez and Jesus Navas respectively, who scored against France.
Elsewhere, Spain is unlikely to make any changes to the team that defeated France in the semi-finals. Pedri's injury made way for Dani Olmo, who also scored against La Roja last week. Lamine Yamal produced a stunning strike to become the youngest goalscorer in European Championship or World Cup history and will start on the right.
Alvaro Morata is in doubt for the final after suffering a serious injury from a guard after the semis were completed. The striker left the field after an official slipped and hit his knee, but he may be ready for Sunday's game.
Spain predicted to face England (4-2-3-1): Simon; Carvajal, Le Normand, Laporte, Cucurella; Rodri, Ruiz; Yamal, Olmo, Williams; Morata.
England welcomed Marc Guehi back from suspension against the Netherlands and will start again on Sunday. Kieran Trippier was replaced at half-time by the returning Luke Shaw, who could take his place at left-back in the final.
Despite Ollie Watkins' late strike, captain Harry Kane is unlikely to be ruled out of the big game, with Phil Foden and Jude Bellingham keeping their places behind him. Kobbie Mainoo is confirmed to start alongside Declan Rice in midfield.
England predicted to face Spain (3-4-2-1): Pickford; Walker, Stones, Guehi; Saka, Mainoo, Rice, Shaw; Foden, Bellingham; Four times.
Well, here we are again. England are in another big final three years from Euro 2020 heartbreak.
Southgate's side will feel the pressure this weekend. They can make history in Berlin by becoming the first England men's team to win the Euro but they face a Spanish team that has been the most satisfied team in this summer's tournament.
England will be in pieces in this one, even if their star-studded squad means they shouldn't be. They have shown glimpses of their quality since defeating Slovakia in the last 16, but they may be leaving their revival too late.
It's hard to imagine any team beating Spain, who have won all of their games so far with only one going to extra time. They beat France, Germany, Italy and Croatia en route to the showpiece and could add England to their list of impressive victories.
Prediction: Spain 2-1 England
