“Not good enough” – Erik ten Hag criticizes Manchester United's performance after defeat by Rosenborg

Manchester United suffered a shock 1-0 defeat against Rosenborg in their first pre-season game, with Noah Emmanuel Jean Holm scoring the crucial goal in the 93rd minute.

Without getting a team that includes important players like Marcus Rashford, Casemiro, Mason Mount, Jonny Evans, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, United could not get a victory.

Rosenborg not only won but also dominated the game. They had 22 shots compared to United's 5, passed more often, had more accurate passes, and registered more shots on target. The Norwegian team also hit the woodwork four times.

The manager of Manchester United is not happy with the performance

After the defeat, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag expressed his disappointment with the team's performance, saying it was “not a good fit.”

Speaking to MUTV, the ten-year-old Hag stressed the importance of winning, even in pre-season games.

He said:

“The result is second to none. Yes, we are playing before the season, but at Man United the standard is that you win games and you don't lose games.

“So if you can't win you can lose the game like we did in the last second of the game. However, performance is very important and performance was below standards.
