How to watch Kylian Mbappe's Real Madrid unveiling
Real Madrid fans are no strangers to superstars, and their latest 'galactico' will be unveiled with a fantastic presentation.
Following the transfer saga of many years, patient Florentino Perez finally defended his man. Kylian Mbappe's intention to leave Paris Saint-Germain has emerged as the biggest player of all time to the public earlier this year, and fortunately, Real Madrid acted quickly in the summer to secure his target on a relatively free transfer.
Mbappe heads to Madrid after a disappointing Euro 2024 where he failed to score in open play as a cautious France were beaten by Spain in the semi-finals.
“I wanted to be a European champion… I will go on vacation now, I will rest well, it will do me the best, and then I will be ready to start a new life,” said the Frenchman while speaking to his country. Get out. However, given the seismic nature of his summer transfer, there is little time for Mbappe to rest. Before he starts pre-season and heads to the United States with his new team, the 25-year-old will be officially introduced by the team.
Here's how to tune into what will be a spectacular presentation in the Spanish capital.
Real Madrid confirmed last week that Mbappe's unveiling will take place at the Santiago Bernabeu Tuesday 16 July at 12:00 CEST (11:00 GMT).
The Frenchman will be tested and sign his Madrid contract on the same day.
Tickets for Tuesday's event are still available, but if you're not lucky enough to see Perez unveil Mbappe in the flesh it will be streamed live via the RM Play App.
The digital service was launched by the club last year and most of the content is free to access for those with a free Madridista account. It is not yet clear whether you will need a premium subscription to watch Mbappe's launch on Tuesday. However, given that the club was selling tickets for free, it seems that the presentation will be free to broadcast on the app.
Real Madrid members get early access to Mbappe's unveiling, and can purchase one free event ticket and four members' tickets through the same process. Tickets go on sale to 'Premium Madridistas' on Saturday 13 July, and go on general sale the following day.
Tickets are free for those who can get a ticket in person. However, it is not surprising that tickets are selling out very quickly and supporters are now selling their tickets on resale sites to earn huge sums.
Prices range from 30 to 200 euros, but the Bernabeu is still expected to be packed when Mbappe officially arrives.
