West Ham are interested in Arsenal midfielder Reiss Nelson and the Hammers are opening talks with the Gunners over a summer move.
The East London side are expected to strengthen their attacking tactics ahead of the new season as they have struggled to put the ball in the net during the campaign. Julen Lopetegui is expected to implement a new style of play at West Ham in the summer and is eyeing some interesting moves.
According to Football Insider, one man West Ham could sign is Arsenal's Neiss Nelson, while the Irons are believed to have made inquiries about the 24-year-old and early talks have already taken place.
The winner would be a good option for West Ham on the bench as he has a lot of Premier League experience and still has time to develop into a better player.
This would be a smart move by the Hammers and it remains to be seen whether the London outfit can pull it off in the coming weeks.
Reiss Nelson needs to leave Arsenal
Arsenal are expected to make a move for Nelson this summer even though he has been at the club since he was nine. The sale of young players will assist in the acquisition of new players and remain in good harmony with the Premier League's rules of profitability and sustainability.
From a player's point of view, the move could also be beneficial as the Englishman will not get much game time at the Emirates during the 2024/25 campaign.
Nelson played just 257 minutes in the Premier League last season and will need more than that if he is to improve his game. West Ham will give the player more time on the pitch and only then will the 24-year-old be able to see if he is ready to be a regular starter in England's top flight.
