Liverpool Under-18s have unveiled a new away kit for the 2024/25 season

Liverpool's Under-18s unveiled the club's official kit for the 2024/25 season during a pre-season friendly on Saturday.

The Reds are yet to officially reveal the details of their new away strip but eagle-eyed fans spotted the school team sporting the black strip that has been circulating on social media for the past few weeks in a friendly against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.

After their controversial green and white design from 2023/24, Liverpool will return to a simple black kit for the upcoming campaign, with turquoise used to highlight the sleeves and side of the shorts.

It also commemorates the 97 lives lost as a result of the Hillsborough disaster at the back of the neck.

Unfortunately, the friendship ended in chaos after a Liverpool player accused his opponent of using a racial slur during a match.

BILD we mean that, with the scores tied at 1-1, Liverpool refused to continue the match after the allegations, so Frankfurt was awarded a 3-0 victory.

After the match, Frankfurt sporting director Timmo Hardung confirmed that they plan to take the accusation seriously but believes the incident was a misunderstanding related to the word 'digga', which translates from German to 'bro' or 'dude' in English.

“All of our youth academy is like Eintracht Frankfurt, multicultural, and we have clear principles that we live by and always seek,” said sports director Timo Hardung. “Racism has no place here, but we still take such allegations seriously.

“After consultation, our player confirmed that he used the word 'digga' which is often used by young people when playing a normal game, we have no doubt that this statement is true. It's a language issue, so we hope we've cleared up the misunderstanding between the players involved and those facing Liverpool. “
