4 players who need to leave Man Utd this summer

With Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee already on the door at Old Trafford, it is clear that change will happen at Manchester United this summer.

INEOS' new transfer team at Man Utd are shaping Erik ten Hag's new squad ahead of the 2024/25 season, and as part of that process we expect a number of departures and arrivals.

Here are four players who need to leave Man Utd this summer…

Man Utd are reportedly in 'advanced talks' to sell Aaron Wan-Bissaka to West Ham United this summer and, in fact, a move that would make a lot of sense for all clubs.

Having lost the right-back battle to the impressive Diogo Dalot in recent seasons, there appears to be no consistent path to first-team football for Wan-Bissaka at Old Trafford in the near future.

That, coupled with the club's fear of losing a defender for free next summer, means a move during the current transfer window makes a lot of sense.

A move to West Ham would be a smart move for the 26-year-old as well. A club where he will finally be able to find regular Premier League football – something his talents deserve.

Erik ten Hag recently brought Jadon Sancho back into first-team training after a lengthy tussle that saw the star player sent out on loan for the second half of the 2023/24 season.

And while the manager has said they have 'drawn a line' under the problems and 'moved on', there is a feeling it will not work for Sancho at Old Trafford.

Even when Sancho played under Ten Hag, he struggled for form – scoring just seven goals in all competitions.

If Man Utd can find a viable suitor, it would be better for Sancho to agree to leave permanently this summer.

Another Man Utd defender who could end up at West Ham this summer is former captain Harry Maguire.

The defender was stripped of the captaincy and almost pushed out the door last summer – coming after joining the Hammers – and with the signing of Leny Yoro confirmed, it seems the writing is on the wall for Maguire at Man Utd. .

With no certainty that the 31-year-old will be playing regular football at Old Trafford in 2024/25, it may be time to move elsewhere.

It was really painful to watch Casemiro's logs about Premier League pitches last season.

The defensive midfielder's legs are gone, and with Manuel Ugarte coming in, it's clear that he doesn't (and shouldn't) have a future at Old Trafford.

Don't feel too bad for him though, we're sure there's a Saudi Pro League or two willing to pay him a hefty package to play in the Middle East.
