Exclusive: Man United star's transfer interest remains despite new chances to stay, says expert

There is still some interest in Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho this summer, even if there is a new chance for him to stay at Old Trafford, according to transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano.

Specially speaking CaughtOffside in the latest edition of his Daily Briefing column, Romano explained that Man Utd has not received any concrete offers for Sancho so far, even if there are still clubs looking at his situation.

It is possible that things will become clear in the coming weeks, according to Romano, who says that Sancho's decision to clarify things with Erik ten Hag also shows that the English player may end up staying at the club.

Sancho spent last season out of favor with Ten Hag, before spending the second half of the campaign on loan at Borussia Dortmund, but the Red Devils boss has spoken publicly to suggest that the issues between him and the player are now over.

The situation of transferring Sancho was described by Fabrizio Romano

Jadon Sancho could get another chance at Man Utd but the clubs still want him

It will be interesting to see what happens next with Sancho, but Romano has suggested that the situation is open.

“There is a chance for Jadon Sancho to stay at Manchester United – a lot will depend on the coming weeks,” Romano said.

“Before the season, the feelings with the manager, the performance…you have chances to stay. There is still interest from other clubs but there have been no official bids so far, so it's been quiet.

“Sancho's decision to clear with Erik ten Hag also shows how they can be prepared to continue together, but it depends on what happens in the coming weeks.”

Sancho showed his ability on his return to Dortmund, so there may still be hope to reproduce his good form with MUFC, even if there is increased competition for a place in Ten Hag's starting XI.
