Man Utd 'willing' to discuss new signing for 2023/24 loan star
Manchester United are willing to bring Sofyan Amrabat back to Old Trafford on negotiated terms, according to reports.
The Moroccan spent the 2023/24 campaign on loan at the 13-time Premier League winners, with the deal agreed with Fiorentina including a £21.4m purchase option.
Amrabat served as a versatile apprentice at United, playing in midfield and at left-back when the club endured a serious injury crisis, but he rarely threatened to become a regular fixture in the side.
The window for United to open a buyout option has passed, Fabrizio Romano reports, and the Red Devils chose not to pay the previously agreed price.
However, United boss Erik ten Hag is said to remain a big fan of Amrabat, and it is possible that the two clubs could discuss a new deal that would bring the 27-year-old back to the Premier League.
Other clubs are said to be interested but are not being named, suggesting that Amrabat's Fiorentina career may be over no matter what happens.

A rejuvenated United have been active in the transfer window so far, bringing in Sir Jim Ratcliffe's plan and INEOS following their 27.7% investment.
Leny Yoro joined from Lille, choosing to join United rather than wait a year to move to Real Madrid, while Joshua Zirkzee also arrived from Bologna.
Other people are expected to sign, but Ten Hag admitted to a Dutch newspaper AD Sportwereld that the proceeds will be needed to fund United's business.
“That is also obvious (the club needs to sell to raise money),” he said. “But we want to have a strong team, as strong as possible. I think at the moment the football leadership is very good. I think that's what clubs like Manchester United should do.
“We are very happy that we have done business – we have Yoro in, we have Zirkzee – two things that can be at the top of the future. But when I say the future, the future starts today. The next game is always the most important. , the next season is always the most important.”
