The Lilywhites have already started their pre-season games by beating Hearts 5-1 and losing 2-0 to another London team, Queens Park Rangers. In those games Spurs fans got the chance to see both Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray for the first time, with the latter a welcome arrival, having joined in a £30m deal this summer.

The 18-year-old told the club's website after making his Spurs debut against Hearts and QPR: “It's about getting used to the simple things that my teammates like on the field, off the field, in the end, I'm trying to get to know them.

“They're all brilliant and they've helped me a lot, especially Pedro at Hearts, I've never played a full-back and he's been very helpful to me. Everyone that I train with, not only when we play these pre-season games, in the training ground every day, everyone tries to help me, and I really appreciate that. They've been smart so far. ”
