The Dutch coach has a lot of work to do before the Merseyside club face Ipswich Town in their Premier League opener on August 17 as pre-season has not been good for the 45-year-old.
The former manager of Feyenoord did not yet have many players to start working with this summer as most of Liverpool's squad has entered Euro 2024 and the Copa America. The Stars will slowly begin to make a comeback in the coming days and weeks, but it remains to be seen how that will affect the Slot team when the new season opens.
The international competitions could not have come at a bad time for the new Liverpool manager as pre-season is the time when a new coach starts to apply his philosophy to his players and most of the Reds' biggest stars were absent.

The Premier League giants' last match on this trip will be against Man United on August 3 in South Carolina, so the last month of the transfer window could be very busy for Liverpool.
While this may worry fans, this is the right approach as Klopp has left a strong squad behind at Anfield for Slot – which is evident in their early Premier League title challenge.
The Merseyside club need two or three quality additions before the transfer window closes and Slot will know exactly which areas need strengthening when the final whistle goes to South Carolina on August 3.
