O'Shaquie Foster will have his chance to get it back in the blood.
The World Boxing Council (WBC) ordered an immediate rematch between Foster and Robson Conceicao for the current 130-pound division. The call to action came on Monday, a little more than two weeks after Conceicao made the controversial split decision on July 6 in Newark, New Jersey.
Most fans felt that Foster (22-3, 12 knockouts) deserved the nod and kept his title intact. Although not mentioned by the WBC, its decision spoke volumes.
“The WBC Board of Governors has decided that there will be a rematch between Robson who is the WBC super featherweight champion. [Conceicao] & former champion @OshaquieFoster,” WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman told X.

Foster remained The Ring's No. 2-rated junior lightweight following their fight broadcast by ESPN. Conceicao (19-2-1, 9 KOs) is still ranked No. 8 despite a legitimate win on his record.
Top Rank promotes both fighters, which will require their camps to begin the negotiation process. Fund allocations have not yet been assigned to the matchup. The WBC was very focused on making sure that no boxer would enter another fight.
Foster attempted a second defense of the WBC 130-pound title he won in a come-from-behind, 12th-round knockout of Rocky Hernandez last October 28 in Cancun, Mexico. That night, the best boxer went to the well to save the judges.
Many viewers liked his great accuracy compared to Conceicao's busy output. Two of the three judges felt differently, resulting in the title changing hands. Conceicao, a 2016 Olympic gold medalist, won the belt in his fourth attempt as a result.
Now, he has to run it back to the theater he stole it from.
