Russell Westbrook lost $1.7M in Jazz trade

Russell Westbrook has agreed to a $1.7 million buyout of the Utah Jazz, per Spotrac's Keith Smith. The Jazz had just acquired him in a three-year, $17 million sign-and-trade with the LA Clippers for Kris Dunn. Westbrook is expected to join the Denver Nuggets.

After parting ways with his longtime agent Thad Foucher in 2022, Westbrook is now represented by Jeff Schwartz. Last season, he averaged 11.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.5 assists in 22.5 minutes in 68 games with the Clippers.
