Kevin Durant's Manager Calls Out Brian Windhorst on Post Deleted
Kevin Durant's manager and business partner, Rich Kleiman, doesn't seem happy with Brian Windhorst's reporting on KD's injury situation at the Olympics.
On Monday, Windhorst reported that Durant may miss Team USA's opener against Serbia due to a calf injury.
However, the post has since been removed from X, Kleiman suggested that Windhorst “start reporting only the facts”.
Durant was recovering from a concussion he suffered last month while training for Team USA and missed five of the team's exhibition games before the Paris Games.
But contrary to Windhorst's report, Kleiman says Durant will be fit for the first game against Sebia.
“Yes, he could play in London [against Germany] and he plans to play against Serbia,” said Kleiman Posted. “He scored a **** to get back on Team USA and will be going for his record fourth gold medal and is still Team USA's leading scorer.
“She feels great and has enjoyed Paris.”
The 35-year-old set the record for most points in men's Olympic history for the USA at Tokyo 2020 in 2021, surpassing Carmelo Anthony's previous record of 336.
He has now collected 435 points at the Olympic level.
Durant will also have a chance to become the all-time leader in men's basketball gold medals after previously winning in 2012, 2016 and 2021 (if Team USA wins gold).
However, not everyone is happy with Kleiman's news.
Suns fans are very nervous to see if Durant will suffer another injury in the summer and derail Phoenix's season.
Arizona Sports The author, Dan Bickley, thinks that the Sun's season is very important and that Durant or Booker should participate in the Paris Games.
“In a perfect world, Durant would have pulled the plug,” Bickley said. “Nothing should be more important than bringing the first NBA championship to Phoenix in 56 years. The Suns need him healthy and fresh in the coming months. Even in very good condition, he doesn't need more miles on the tire.
The same goes for Devin Booker. Both players earned All-NBA recognition last season, but more is needed going forward. “
