Xander Schauffele's Open victory continued an impressive streak when it comes to Major winners.

The 152nd Open Champion played his way to the title with Vokey Design wedges, making it five wins in the last six majors for players playing Vokey wedges.

Schauffele produced an unattainable score on Royal Troon's par-5 16th, using his NEW Vokey SM10 60.04T lob wedge to unleash a dangerous frenzy over the pot green. A professional effort saw him sink a 4-foot putt for birdie and reach his winning tally of nine under the famous par.

The champion, who also carried the NEW Vokey SM10 56.10S sand wedge, got almost three shots off the field on the green at Royal Troon and part of that will come on Sunday as he closed out the title in brutal fashion.

At the PGA Championship, Schauffele used a Vokey WedgeWorks 60-degree Low Bounce K lob wedge to make the tournament up and down the 72nd hole. The champion usually plays his 60.06K, hovering around 60.04T during weeks with tighter, tighter conditions like Royal Troon.

In Scotland at the 152nd Open Championship, 49 percent (217) of the gap, sand and lob wedges played were Vokey Design, compared to 64 (14%) of the nearest competitor.

The champion also led a 1-2-3 finish for Vokey wedge players, with nine Vokey design clubs among the three.

What's more Vokey wedges have been brought to the winner's circle in 20 of 25 weeks on the PGA TOUR.

Bob Vokey has ensured that his name is associated with golf success.

Vokey has spent decades honing his craft with unwavering dedication.

He has learned from some of the world's greatest players, and his passion for playing has grown over time, guided by instinct and hours at the wheel.

Anyone can make a wedge within reason, but it takes a master to turn a functional piece of technology into a creative control tool.

For Vokey, this is an endless grind and his only passion.

Much of Vokey's research and development takes place on the driving ranges, practice greens, and residences of the PGA Tour, where he works closely with professionals to better understand what they need in terms of design and, most importantly, feel.

“I've been saying since the day I came to Titleist, that I have the best R&D center in the world – Professional Tours,” said Vokey.

Vokey Design wedges have been a favorite among tour players since 2004, accounting for nearly 40 percent of all sands, lobs, and wedges played each week.

Although the PGA Tour is the ultimate testing ground, Vokey always has the novice golfer in mind when he approaches his design table.

His philosophy resonated in the market where Vokey Design wedges are best-selling golfers of all skill levels.
