Yes, fried eggs in the basement are a bad lie. Your first instinct may be to simply pop the ball out of the depression you made in the sand. Thank you, thank you. Trust: This one is easier than you think.
Just use your everyday stance and swing, with the following two changes: 1) As you settle into your stance, “close” the club by turning it inward so that the toe of the club points more toward your target than the clubface; and 2) emphasize tension on your downswing and follow the sand just behind the ball.
Swipe hard and don't worry: These two steps work like magic.
