adidas Golf introduces the next generation of its iconic CODECHAOS shoe CODECHAOS 25.
The new model boasts a redesigned outsole and upper to provide improved traction and stability with an eye-catching design sure to stand out on the golf course.
Headed by the BOA laceless model, the CODECHAOS 25 shoes will also come in a laced version for men and women and will be available from August 1st.
The redesigned outsole features a new 3D Torsion plate that improves stability during the swing and when golfers walk the distance. The Torsion plate not only provides a better fit but also reduces midfoot flexion, which can eventually cause internal heel slippage.
The TWISTGRIP outsole features a new lug shape placed over a large area, adding up to a 40% increase in traction compared to previous CodeChaos designs.
“About five years ago we made the bold move to launch CODECHAOS while traditional, flawless models were flooding the market,” said Masun Denison, global footwear director, adidas Golf. “The impact these shoes had then and continue to have now is further evidence to us that golfers continue to look for performance in athletic and non-traditional silhouettes.
“The CODECHAOS 25 represents a milestone for us in how we've improved this shoe over the last five years, especially in a time when golf has seen such growth and participation.”
To further improve performance, the adidas team worked with engineers at BOA to integrate the PerformFit Wrap powered by the BOA Fit System as part of BOA's CODECHAOS 25 model. Covered in zippered fabric, the PerformFit Wrap provides golfers with another targeted fit. providing a locked-in feel with added stability.
Knowing comfort is important for all golfers, adidas has created a new hybrid midsole that combines both BOOST and LIGHTSTRIKE technology. While BOOST focuses on energy return and impact, LIGHTSTRIKE is incorporated into the midsole to add both stability and comfort when golfers swing.
The upper of the CODECHAOS 25 features a tough, multi-layered weave with the aim of providing golfers with more flexibility.
The bottom layer closest to the foot features soft, moisture-wicking material, which helps increase comfort during rotation.
The middle layer, a flexible jacquard, open structure intended to provide flexibility and help golfers adjust to the lie, while the outer layer is a sporty mesh to enhance the layers below.
The transparent PU film also provides a 'window' into what makes this upper unique while still providing golfers with waterproof protection.
The CODECHAOS 25 will be available on adidas.com, the adidas app and in specialist stores in both BOA and men's and women's lace-up models, as well as a junior model, from August 1. RRP: £159.99
