Former Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea could return to football and is in talks with him join in Serie A side Genoa, according to reports.
The shot stopper signed for the Red Devils in 2011, making over 500 appearances and lifting eight caps before hanging up his gloves in 2023. De Gea's last game is against rivals Manchester City in the 2023 FA Cup final – where Pep Guardiola's side. said victory at Wembley.

However, later reports appeared Sky Sports they revealed that the move to Genoa may be on hold for now. De Gea's 'salary expectations' are thought to have caused a problem for the Italians – who may not be willing to do a deal if a big fee is involved.
De Gea's last competitive game came over a year ago, and he has not featured for his national team since 2020, suggesting a new move will have to happen sooner rather than later if the Spaniard is to return to action.
