De Minaur Withdraws From Olympic Singles

Alex de Minaur he will not play alone in the Paris Olympics.
Australian No. 1 de Minaur has officially withdrawn from the Olympic singles due to a hip injury that ruled her out of Wimbledon. De Minaur plans to play twice in Paris alongside a good friend Alexei Popyrin.

The 25-year-old Aussie suffered a groin injury in a 6-2, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 Wimbledon victory over Arthur Fils earlier this month.
That injury forced a frustrated de Minaur out of the Championships, giving Novak Djokovic a place in the semifinals.

World No. 1 Jannik Sinner pulled out of the Olympics last week with tonsillitis. World number 4 Elena Rybakinawho withdrew due to a bout of acute bronchitis, too Holger Rune are among the notable names that do not play Paris.
