Raphael Varane joins the Serie A side after leaving Man Utd

Raphael Varane is officially gone he joined Serie A side Como after leaving Manchester United at the end of the 2023/24 season.

The defender joined the Red Devils from Real Madrid in 2021, making 93 appearances in all competitions. He endured an injury-ravaged three-season spell at Old Trafford before leaving this summer, when his contract expired.

The 31-year-old has now signed a two-year contract with newly-promoted Italian side Como and will spend next season playing in Serie A. Varane is set to join former Arsenal star Cesc Fabregas – who has been appointed as Como boss. coach after a successful campaign as assistant to Osian Roberts.

Varane's contract sees him stay at the club until June 2026, with an option to extend in line with his deal.
