The stars shine brightly on the second day of Paris 2024
South Sudan's Bright Stars stood out in their first match at the Olympics against Puerto Rico, while the USA stars had their say as Group C continued.
The African giants, who last became FIBA members in 2013, were nervous at the start – trailing 28-20 after the first quarter – but they found their feet and got up, coming away with a convincing 90-79 victory.
Carlik Jones led South Sudan with 19 points, seven rebounds, and six assists in an all-around masterclass, canceling out 26 from Puerto Rico's Jose Alverado.
