FALMOUTH, Mass. – Leading off the festivities for the 2024 Cape Cod All-Star game was a home game. The derby has a long history, starting with the first one in 1988, which was won by Frank Thomas. Other sluggers in that one include Jeff Bagwell, Mo Vaughn, Chuck Knoblauch and Dave Staton. This year's edition may not have produced five future greats (two of them Hall of Famers), but it did it was an exciting watch that went into “extra innings.”
