Lakers Rookie Responds To Report Bronny Is Getting 'Special Treatment'

Lakers rookie Blake Hinson addressed rumors related to Bronny James getting 'special treatment' in Summer League because of his father.

Last week, player anoynmoys told the US Sun that “he was treated as a different person, not like the rest of us”. This player is “very upset because I have never been put in the best situation, or included in other games or game shows because they want Bronny to show his skills and stand out”.

This anon Laker had a lot to say about it.

“If you talk to any other player who was a part of the California Classic and Summer League rosters, most of them will tell you the same thing,” they continued. “The tension was palpable, and we were all thinking about the end of the Summer League to get out of here and focus on our next step in our careers.”

Since then, Hinson has addressed the report and even questioned its validity, as he had nothing but good things to say about Summer League teammate Bronny.

“No,” Hinson said Lakers Nation. “Where is that (report)?” In fact, you know how it is. Such things don't really scare me. But we need to find out if that's true because to be completely honest with you, in terms of his treatment, he was just a normal person.

“He just started playing basketball, he really doesn't go out of his way. You are a cool person. I really don't understand how something like that came about. That is nonsense to me.”

Hinson went on to say that he actually enjoyed playing alongside Bronny, and without his star dad, little James wanted to keep things low-key.

“It's cool, the court boy, my brother is cool,” said Hinson. “I don't understand that nonsense you just informed me about. That's not true, it shouldn't be true.”
