Man United are chasing the Bayern ace
This could be an important week for Manchester United in the summer transfer window as they work on a number of different deals, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano suggested there will be a few Man Utd news to keep an eye on in the coming week, and perhaps a 'here we come' or two in store for the Red Devils.
Another deal that seems to be on track is that of Bayern Munich defender Noussair Mazraoui, with Romano confirming other reports that the player has said yes to a move to Old Trafford.
Mazraoui can play at right-back or left-back, and it looks like he is now United's mainstay in that area of the pitch, although Romano has also said they were looking at Vanderson in Monaco.
He maintains that Aaron Wan-Bissaka's departure is key to securing a deal with Mazraoui, as they need to sell their right-back first before bringing in a replacement.
Mazraoui transfer: Can Man United sign two Bayern attackers?
Along with Mazraoui, Romano also discussed the situation with MUFC and their pursuit of another Bayern defender in the form of Matthijs de Ligt, which seems to have stalled due to Bayern's €50 million price tag.
At the moment, United weren't willing to go that high, instead trying to bring in De Ligt for €35 million plus add-ons, but that won't be enough for Bayern.
Having already signed Leny Yoro from Lille, it remains to be seen whether the Red Devils will make a strong return to De Ligt, although one thinks many of the club's fans will welcome the Netherlands international as a significant upgrade on the likes of Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof.
