Our take

'Big name player linked with move to Turkish Super Lig' rumors from Antony this week.

And while Man Utd's willingness to sell Antony this summer is no surprise, Besiktas' ability to sign him would be. It's hard to imagine the Brazilian star's reported £43m price tag being feasible at the Super Lig club – in fact, it would be four times his previous record fee.

Rumors

AS are reporting that Chelsea and Real Madrid are discussing a swap deal involving goalkeepers Kepa Arrizabalaga and Andriy Lunin.

Our take

This is such a ridiculous transfer rumor that we have to make a list of reasons why it's stupid:

  1. Chelsea are in the news for signing Filip Jorgensen from Villarreal.
  2. There is a point in Real Madrid swapping Lunin, who started ahead of Kepa last season, for Kepa, who warmed the bench behind Lunin while on loan last season.
  3. Direct exchange is not financially inclusive, as Lunin is better and smaller than Kepa.

Rumors

Turkish-Football reports that Liverpool have inquired about the availability of Arda Guler and are now preparing a formal bid.

Our take

Considering the lack of guaranteed game time available at Real Madrid, this could be a smart move for Arda Guler, as he would be a key player for Liverpool.

That being said, it's hard to imagine Madrid agreeing to sell him this summer after his impressive Euro 2024 campaign. He's very bloody.

Rumors

Marca they report that David de Gea is about to sign a contract with Serie A club Genoa, which will end his one-year suspension from the game.

De Gea's contract bids initially looked set to reject the deal, but after that was ruled out, the former United goalkeeper now looks set to sign for Genoa any day now.

It's an interesting move for the Spanish goalkeeper, who may have turned down lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia to play his football in Europe next season.
