Jack Catterall was injured, the Regis Prograis fight was postponed
THE fight between Jack Catterall and Regis Prograis has been POSTPONED after the Chorley man was injured in training.
The fight was due to take place at Manchester's Co-Op Arena on August 24. A new date is now being sought.
This is a very demanding contest for both men. Prograis was last seen in the ring beaten by Devin Haney in a grueling 12 rounds. Catterll was looking to build some serious momentum following his revenge against Josh Taylor in their rematch.
This is a clear blow to Catterall, whose career has been hampered by various spells of unemployment. The Jamie Moore-trained man must have thought his luck had turned after toppling Taylor. Sadly, this is not to be – yet.
Reports suggest that the revised date will be around October.
