Buddy Hield “Always Wants to Play,” Golden State – Basketball Insiders

The Golden State Warriors went through a lot of changes this offseason. Most notable is the loss of Klay
Thompson to the Dallas Mavericks. However, they are hoping that the latest addition, Buddy Hield, can be
return another of his shots. As for Hield, he relished the opportunity and recently admitted that he had always dreamed of eventually playing for the Golden State Warriors.

“I've known for years that the Warriors are the team I always wanted to play for,” said Hield. “I
the way they move the ball, they are always in championship mode. And just learning from guys like
Steph, and Draymond, and Steve, and Andrew, because I love the way they approach the game, and I want to be a part of that and see what it's like to be on this side.”

Hield is a 40.0 percent shooter from three-point range.

Buddy Hield Reveals He Always Wanted to Play for the Golden State Warriors

Buddy Hield's style of play also fits the Warriors

With his ability to stretch the floor, Hield will be a perfect fit for Golden State. Granted, he won't have it
the same impact that Klay Thompson made when he was growing up. However, if Hield can change even a fraction of
Thompson's production of the past, will be considered a win for the Warriors. For his career, Buddy Hield has gone
averaged 15.5 points, 4.2 total rebounds, 2.6 assists per game, and an effective field goal percentage
55.1 percent. In Golden State's offensive scheme, he'll get plenty of open looks and he can do it
you may have a working year. Hield probably won't move the needle much but it's thoughtful
the same excitement from both him and the team, he could show why he was drafted in the top 10 of the NBA Draft.

Golden State Projection for next season

It's clear that the Golden State Warriors' glory days are behind them. However, one can never count them out
absolutely as long as Stephen Curry is on the roster. They still need a reliable big man, and others do
beginning to question Steve Kerr's ability to coach. Either way, the Warriors/Hield pairing will be a
likeness made in heaven. The team will at least be in the playoff picture. Despite the aging list,
Golden State will compete in a very crowded Western Conference. All in all, seeing Buddy
Hield succeeding in the Warriors offensive system should be fun to watch this coming season.
