The Montreal Canadiens extended Kaiden Guhle
TSN: The Montreal Canadiens signed defenseman Kaiden Guhle to a six-year, $33 million extension – a total of $5.55 million.
Renaud Lavoie: Kaiden Guhle's extension comes with a five-team no-trade clause for the final two years of the deal.
2025-26: $2 million salary with $5 million signing bonus
2026-27: $5.25 million
2027-28: $6.55 million
2028-29: $5 million
2029-30: $5 million
2030-31: $4.5 million
Marco D'Amico: “6 X $5.55M is a solid contract for Guhle going forward, which will only start next summer. I'm sure betting top-4 play for the Canadiens throughout that deal, and plenty of room for him to improve. The core of the Canadiens is closed.”
Jared's book: “Not sure if Kaiden Guhle ends up being a two-way guy or a two-way guy (due to depth at the position and emerging) but at 5.5M x 6 years, it doesn't really matter. Great value.”
NHL Rumors: Dawson Mercer's Next Contract Project With New Jersey Devils
Kaiden Guhle, signed to a 6x$5.6M extension by MTL, is a solid minute-taking young defenseman with strong swing skills and a good shot. The Habs are making a smart bet here that they have the physical tools to grow into 2/3D. #GoHabsGo pic.twitter.com/tff7OUXTZh
