The second of three planned portraits featuring Kobe Bryant will be unveiled at a private ceremony Friday outside Crypto.com Arena, according to ESPN.
Also featured will be Bryant's daughter Gianna “Gigi” Bryant, who died in the same helicopter crash that killed her father and seven other people in January 2020.
The first photo of Bryant, unveiled on February 8, shows Bryant during his famous 81-point game against the Toronto Raptors from 2006.
Today's template reveals the worlds with the most important date, 8/2/24, which represents both Bryant's jersey numbers, and Gigi's.
By the same token, the launch of the first template was 2/8/24.
The third statue will feature Bryant wearing his No. 24 Lakers uniform, according to Vanessa Bryant, and is expected to be unveiled sometime next season, according to ESPN.
