Shakur Stevenson considers the Tank fight the biggest in boxing

SHAKUR Stevenson says a fight between himself and Gervonta 'Tank' Davis will happen and his side of the negotiations has told Tank's people to shoot the offer. Although he has not received an answer, this does not affect Shakur's confidence that the fight will be found.

“Like I said, that fight will happen. I will not pretend that there will be no war,” he said Debate News.

“He and I are the best, we are the best fighters to come. The best fighters in the 135-pound division. There is no way that war cannot happen. I know the fans want to scream and say all these things. This boy is crazy, this boy. They want to find someone who will say that he is bad, but I am not afraid to fight him, he is not afraid to fight me and it will be chaos when it comes to fighting.”

The date of November 23 has been rumored, but with a war of this nature, will the change be so quick? Stevenson doesn't seem to think so.

“If terms can be agreed upon and everything makes sense to him and me from a business perspective, a fight is possible,” he added before giving a positive analysis of Gervonta's partnership with Frank Martin in June.

“I wouldn't tell you all the holes because that would give him my plan,” he said with a smile. “I thought he looked really good against Frank Martin. I thought the standard was too high for Frank Martin. I thought Tank raised the bar and Frank couldn't compete at that level.”

Of all the possible megafights in all of boxing, Shakur Stevenson believes the clash with Gervonta Davis is the biggest.

“That's the biggest fight in boxing. I don't think it's a bigger fight than me and Tank. Maybe Bud and Canelo are there, but really, we're talking about talent. A fight that fans really want to see, people who are interested in boxing, people who love the game of boxing, that's a fight. I don't see that the war is more than that.”
