All Premier League clubs have made the best signings in the 2024 summer transfer window so far
As expected, Premier League clubs have been very busy in the 2024 summer transfer window.
The top teams have been busy adding players who hope to help them challenge Manchester City, while on the other hand the relegated ones have signed in the hope that they will stay in this division for another season.
Here are the Premier League club's best signings of the window so far..
The latest addition to Bournemouth's exciting youth defense is perhaps the most exciting young defender of the lot: Dean Huijsen.
The 19-year-old impressed during his loan spell with AS Roma at the tail end of last season, and Bournemouth will no doubt be looking forward to seeing him bomb forward with the ball at the Vitality Stadium in 2024/25.
Arsenal's only major acquisition so far, Riccardo Calafiori is a huge improvement at left-back for the Gunners heading into the 2024/25 campaign.
Expect him to bring his Euro form to the Premier League.
A £50m move for star player Douglas Luiz, and by all accounts that's a pretty good deal.
Although not as technically gifted as Luiz, Amadou Onana is certainly a big physical figure in the middle of the park and will be important for Unai Emery going forward.
To say the least, the fact that the club's record signing almost suffered a serious knee injury and will be out of action until 2025 as a result is not fair.
On his return, if his impressive performances with Club Brugge are anything to go by, the 23-year-old should be a worthy asset for Brentford.
Brighton have been notoriously shrewd in the transfer window in recent years, and by all accounts the signing of Mats Wieffer looks like another shrewd move.
The former Feyenoord midfielder looks set to replace Moises Caicedo – a player the club have struggled to do without in the 2023/24 season.
As expected, Chelsea have done a lot of business this summer.
And while it's not eye-catching, the signing of Marc Guiu for just £5m looks like very smart business.
The club has been in dire need of quality depth up front, and the 18-year-old is exactly what he has.
Palace have been seen as the beneficiaries of Daichi Kamada's dispute with Lazio, looking to sign the wide midfielder on a free.
Having played some of the best football of his career under Oliver Glasner, Kamada looks set to impress at Selhurst Park.
From Cork City, Crystal Palace, to Oympique Lyonnais and now on to Everton.
Jake O'Brien's career path thus far has been surprising to say the least.
The 23-year-old now looks to be in the perfect position to sharpen his already impressive defensive talents. Working under Sean Dyche will be of great benefit to him moving forward.
Ryan Sessegnon's return to Fulham is one of the most promising signings of the 2024 summer transfer window.
After bursting onto the scene at Fulham eight years ago, if Sessegnon stays fit he could make an impact at Craven Cottage again.
After a 15-goal loan spell in their winning season, Ipswich Town had to make Omari Hutchinson's move permanent. And they do just that.
A club record signing will be crucial to their survival hopes.
If you've played Football Manager 2024, chances are you've signed Caleb Okoli more than once.
The Italian defender has signed a five-year contract with Leicester City after impressing while on loan from Atalanta at Frosinone last season.
Yes, Liverpool are the only club in the Premier League who have yet to sign anyone.
It's wrong.
Did Man City sign Savio this summer, or did they successfully sign him in 2022 when he joined City Football Group-owned Troyes?
Honestly, we're not really sure.
What we are sure of is that Man City have a player on their hands. The 20-year-old has great talent.
Manchester United have pulled off two impressive deals so far this summer in the signings of Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee.
Due to Yoro's injury – which will keep him out for the first two months of the season – we give Zirkzee his name as the best signing of this transfer window.
The false nine talents will provide much-needed intelligence to Man Utd's forward line.
Newcastle's commitment to signing young defender Lewis Hall from Chelsea was triggered at the end of the 2023/24 season, and given his performances we doubt the club are too confused about it.
Nikola Milenkovic is a central defender who was constantly linked with other top clubs in the Premier League (Liverpool, Man Utd, etc.) and somehow ended up at Nottingham Forest.
The 26-year-old was snapped up for £12m this summer, and while there are question marks as to why he hasn't improved his game much in recent years, the outstanding defender will be a key addition to Forest's backline this season.
Southampton's most recent signing, and best, of the summer so far has been Ben Brereton Diaz.
The Chilean showed he can score goals in the Premier League when he was loaned to Sheffield United in the second half of last season – netting six in 14 games. Expect him to score a few more for Saints in 2024/25.
Although Tottenham have yet to sign a new attacking star this summer – much to the chagrin of their fans – they have at least signed one of the most exciting young talents in the English game.
As seen in his first season of senior football with Leeds in 2023/24, the sky is the limit for Archie Gray.
West Ham have been linked with a number of players this summer.
One of the few they managed to sign was defender Max Kilman.
The former Wolves man is a much-needed defensive player, with West Ham relying on a handful of veterans at the back last season.
Yes, he is definitely Portuguese.
The 20-year-old is a sensation, having scored 14 goals for Estoril before joining Wolves.
