Chelsea are continuing talks to sign Victor Osimhen despite a recent deal
Chelsea will reportedly continue talks with Napoli over a potential deal to sign Victor Osimhen.
The Buckeyes have been heavily linked with the Nigerian striker for over a year and although an agreement has not yet been reached, fans are realizing that this window may be the time to move to London.
Todd Boehly is keen to sign the goalscorer but has been forced to rely on the inexperienced Nicolas Jackson after the Senegal striker left Villarreal last summer.
Chelsea are working on a deal for Victor Osimhen without the transfer of Samu Omorodion
However, looking to bolster Enzo Maresca's attacking options, Chelsea are not only interested in Osimhen, but are also actively working on a deal to sign 20-year-old Samu Omorodion from Atletico Madrid.
Transfer merry-go-round includes Julian Alvarez of Manchester City. The Argentine is closing in on a move to Los Colchoneros following their 'softening' move to sell Omorodion to Chelsea.
Happily for Chelsea fans, according to The Athletic's David Ornstein, whatever happens with Alvarez and Omorodion, the Blues continue to pursue Osimhen as a completely different deal.
The 25-year-old scored 15 goals in 25 Serie A games last season and has a contract until 2026.
Chelsea's Premier League season kicks off with a home tie against defending champions Manchester City on Sunday 18 August, and who knows, both clubs could feature a very different attacking line-up if all goes to plan over the next two weeks.
