Jack Catterall vs. Regis Prograis postponed to 26 October

The match between Jack Catterall and Regis Prograis was postponed to October 26. They were supposed to meet on August 24, but Catterall withdrew after being injured in training. Manchester's Co-op Live arena remains the venue of choice.

How the delay affects either player remains to be seen. And they can't wait, as their different jobs need to be developed to win.

Catterll's victory over Josh Taylor closed that chapter and brought him closer to the same world level that Regis Prograis had enjoyed, before his one-sided loss to Devin Haney.

Catterll, 31, is 29-1 as a professional with 13 knockouts. His style is built around a smart, practical counterattack behind a sharp southpaw jab.

Prograis is four years older and a 29-win southpaw. Regis has been beaten twice, most recently by the aforementioned Haney and previously in the WBSS finals by Josh Taylor. It was Taylor who caused the loss of Jack Catterall's job alone. Prograis is a known doubles puncher, boasting 24 early finishes.
