Rangers are eyeing two summer signings ahead of the Dynamo Kyiv game

Rangers are reportedly keen to secure two key pieces of transfer business in the remaining days of the transfer window, as they prepare to face Dynamo Kyiv in a two-legged Champions League qualifier.

It's a great summer for Rangers but hearts are breaking

The Gers have had a summer to remember in the transfer market, signing nine new players and significantly strengthening Philippe Clement's depth proposition. The most recent was Robin Propper, who arrived as an experienced addition to the defence, making 223 appearances in the Eredivisie during his career.

Propper's signing is only a key factor, however, with Mohamed Diomande joining permanently after spending last season on loan at Ibrox and Oscar Cortes staying for another season from Lens.

Other transfer rumors continue to emerge, with Tyrese Campbell being tipped as an exciting free agent, following his exit from Stoke City after six years at the club. Still only 24 years old, the striker has registered 57 goals in 164 appearances for the Potters.

A 0-0 draw with Hearts last Saturday was a disappointing way for Clement's men to start their 2024/25 Scottish Premiership season, however, as they were quickly beaten by rivals Celtic on the opening weekend. While good business has been done at Rangers, it has also highlighted the need for more quality, and it looks like that is likely.

Clement wants two key players from Rangers

According to a new claim from the Football Insider, Clement is looking to add two attacking players to his Rangers squad this summer, as spending continues in the current transfer window. The report claims the Gers boss is after a “high-quality striker and winger” before the end of the month, although they have already signed Hamza Igamane and Vaclav Cerny in those positions.

This is encouraging to hear from Rangers fans, although signing more players may disrupt the team's rhythm, it almost gives Clement more options.

A continued lack of fire was evident at Hearts – they scored just three goals and conceded five – with Abdallah Sima missing after a heavy loan spell at Ibrox last season, so it's only right that the Gers should focus on that. the two positions mentioned above.

Hearts striker Lawrence Shankland undoubtedly stands out as a suitable option for Rangers in the coming weeks, not just because of his ferocity, but also because he is a young Gers fan. He topped the Scottish Premiership last season, finishing six goals ahead of second-placed Matt O'Riley, and is so experienced that he shouldn't be tired of playing for one of Britain's biggest clubs.
