The hosts of the Olympics, France, impressed as they put on a clinical performance defeating Germany 84-71 in the women's basketball quarter finals in Paris.
This will be the fourth time in a row that France is in the semi-finals at the Olympics, as they have been too strong for their teammates.
Leading 23-19 after the first, the French burst into life with a 17-5 run early in the second, and Germany couldn't answer, and never recovered.
Marine Johannes came off the bench to score 24 points for France.
