Leeds agree terms to sign striker; the decision now goes to the player
Leeds United have agreed terms set by the club to sign the “outstanding” striker on loan, with the decision now up to the player, according to Sky Sports.
Leeds transfer rumours
The Whites prepare for their Championship opener against Portsmouth on Saturday lunchtime, with Daniel Farke and his side looking to go one better than last season.
Speaking at a pre-match press conference, Farke was quizzed on the club's transfer plans for the remainder of the campaign, saying: “We have to strengthen two or three positions. So far, so good, but we're not a finished product yet.”
Then he added: “You will never have enough. Every manager wants more. I would have liked to keep Summerville, Gray and add more quality but to be honest, that's not the point. I know we are in good talks, I have complete faith in our owners, they are ambitious and they support us. We have to stick to the rules, in the years before we have tricky decisions on transfer figures and wages.”

Daniel Farke could dip his toe into the German market to land this Leeds United gem.
A replacement for Crysencio Summerville appears high on the list to be made at Elland Road, and there have been two players heavily linked – Norwich City's Jonathan Rowe and Crystal Palace's Jesurun Rak-Sakyi. A verbal offer of £7m was made for Rowe, while Rak-Sakyi would come in on loan.
Recent reports have revealed that the player has reached a full agreement to join rivals Sheffield United on loan, facing Leeds with a contribution to the process. However, that doesn't seem to be the case yet, as Leeds and 49ers Enterprises appear to be still in the running.
Leeds agree loan terms for Jesurun Rak-Sakyi
Sky Sports reporters Lyall Thomas, Tim Thornton and Michael Bridge provided an update on the situation surrounding Rak-Sakyi inside the Sky Sports broadcast center on Thursday evening. They say Sheffield United are leading the race ahead of Leeds and Hull, however, the player is yet to make a decision and the Whites have “agreed loan terms with Crystal Palace”.
“Sheffield United is believed to be the front runner for the signing of Jesurun Rak-Sakyi who is on loan. The Yorkshire club have agreed loan terms with Crystal Palace – but so have Leeds and Hull. There is still work to be done with trades and the player is yet to make a final decision. But he can be signed up for a Championship club early enough to feature on the opening day of the EFL season. “
Rak-Sakyi, hailed as “amazing” by former Palace boss Roy Hodgson, scored twice in his only pre-season game against Crawley Town last month.
Capable of playing on the right or left, the 21-year-old could be a smart addition to the campaign alongside the likes of Wilfried Gnonto, Dan James and Georginio Rutter, making him one to watch.
