Tottenham complete £55m Dominic Solanke move from Bournemouth

Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of striker Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth.

According to BBC Sport, Spurs will pay an initial fee of £55m and up to a further £10m in add-ons, with the 26-year-old signing a contract until the summer of 2030.

“We are delighted to announce the signing of Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth. Welcome to Tottenham, Dominic!” The Spurs wrote on X.

Solanke joins after an excellent 2023/24 campaign in which he scored 21 goals in all competitions, including 19 in the Premier League to help the Cherries finish 12th in the table.

A former England international with stints at Chelsea and Liverpool on his CV, Solanke has of late and arguably enjoyed his best form as a Bournemouth player throughout the past few seasons.

Tottenham's pursuit of a striker has not been a secret, as the club have yet to replace Harry Kane, who left Bayern Munich last summer following a 435-game spell in which he scored 280 goals.

Solanke is Tottenham's fourth signing of the summer following the arrivals of Archie Gray, Lucas Bergvall and Yang Min-hyuk – although he is the first signing of the window in over 18 years.

Spurs begin their 2024/25 Premier League campaign away to Leicester City in a week on Monday, although it remains to be seen whether Solanke will be there as he recently picked up a foot injury.
