Adidas unveils 'icon' Man Utd and Arsenal third kits for 2024/25 season
Adidas have released the selected kit for the 2024/25 season – Manchester United and Arsenal among the clubs with new 'image' third kits.
Juventus, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid have also unveiled stylish new shirts, featuring the return of the adidas trefoil logo. The campaign included players such as Rio Ferdinand, Patrick Vieira, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Zinedine Zidane and Alessandro Del Piero, players who are considered legends in their clubs.
United's new shirt, featuring a white canvas with red and black stripes, also welcomes the return of the famous Red Devil logo. Ferdinand, who enjoyed 12 successful years at United winning the Premier League six times and the Champions League in 2008, has been chosen to represent the kit.
The Gunners blue design is modeled after none other than former midfielder Vieira – who won two domestic titles for Arsenal, as well as starring in their unbeaten Premier League campaign.
United are expected to kick off their new season on Friday, hosting Fulham at Old Trafford. They faced rivals Manchester City on Saturday in the Community Shield, but they could not get the silverware as Pep Guardiola's team won on penalties.
Arsenal begin their quest to end their 20-year wait for a Premier League title on Saturday, against Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Emirates. They finished their pre-season with a 2-0 win over Lyon, thanks to goals from William Saliba and Gabriel – after beating Bayer Leverkusen and Manchester United earlier in the summer.
All adidas third shirts will be available from Monday 12 August.
