Maresca prepared to let the forward go but Chelsea rejected the opening bid
Chelsea and manager Enzo Maresca are ready to let the youngster leave Stamford Bridge this summer, but have rejected an opening bid and imposed certain conditions.
The players who could leave Chelsea next after Conor Gallagher
One of the BlueCo's most unpopular decisions so far was to sell 2023/2024 Cobham graduate Conor Gallagher to Atletico Madrid, in a £38 million deal, despite being a star player under Mauricio Pochettino last season.

The Blues are showing their financial strength once again.
Although Gallagher has rejected multiple offers for a two-year contract to stay at Chelsea, including an option for an extra season, you can understand why the England international might feel that these offers are less than what he should have been offered.

Chelsea have agreed to sign many new and unproven players on long-term deals since Todd Boehly took over in 2022, and many would think Gallagher should have been given a similar package, given his importance to the Blues' last campaign.
However, it was not to be, so the west Londoners were forced to sell Gallagher to Atletico this summer – rather than lose him for free next year. Indeed, the England international is now saying goodbye to Stamford Bridge, and he won't be the only academy graduate to do so.
Chelsea are keen to sell striker Armando Broja, who is said to be attracting interest from Juventus, Everton and Wolves. The same can be said for defender Trevoh Chalobah as well.
Chelsea are believed to have told Chalobah he is free to leave before deadline day, with the England international also left out of their pre-season tour of the USA. Talks are still ongoing between Napoli and Chelsea over a deal for Romelu Lukaku and, with Victor Osimhen possibly coming the other way, so expect more to come in the coming weeks.
Chelsea reject Rangers' bid for Leo Castledine
According to journalist Pete O'Rourke, writing for Football Insider, another player who could leave Chelsea this summer is top-class young striker Leo Castledine – who has first-team minutes under his belt.
The 18-year-old is so highly regarded at Cobham, that they are not willing to sell him. SPFL heavyweights Rangers are believed to have had a loan bid rejected by Chelsea for Castledine, who are willing to let him leave this summer, but only on a direct loan.
The attacking midfielder has interest from other clubs in Scotland and England, so it's down to Rangers as they consider their next move.
“Congratulations Leo,” said Blues legend John Terry, after the youngster made his club debut in the FA Cup against Middlesbrough last season. “Love him and so do Chelsea fans, he's like a magnet in the box.”
